Manufactured in Onehunga, in Auckland, the TURBO brand was established in 1981 with a range of automotive fillers and coatings. Later, the well-known BUILDERS BOG brand by TURBO was introduced, both here and in Australia. It quickly established a new market sector for permanent building-repair fillers and, though copied by almost every other filler and sealants manufacturer since, remains brand-leader by a wide margin in both countries.

In the TURBO brand, Chemical Specialties Ltd remains committed to manufacturing innovative products in large volumes, such that they can compete in the international marketplace in price, quality and technology. This needs innovative manufacturing processes (all home-grown at our Auckland plant, so no overseas funds are involved), a compact and carefully chosen product range and, most of all, very large sales volumes to give the buying power to keep our prices stable and internationally competitive.
