BUILDER'S BOG™

TURBO
BUILDER'S BOG™ filler is
a repair filler especially for builders and painters- it’s
like wood in a can! All you do is
to mix together the two components supplied, following the instructions
about the correct amounts of each.
You can vary the amount of mix and the proportion of each component
to suit the job you are doing, but be sure to stay within the
allowable range as written on the tin.
This then starts off a chemical reaction which generates heat
and causes the mouldable and spreadable mass to
become a wood-like solid, within a short time. This time
can be between 3 minutes and 20 minutes, depending on the ambient
temperature and the amount of red hardener you choose to use –
the higher the temperature or the more the hardener you mixed
into the base filler, the quicker it will set. Furthermore, the
thicker the fill or repair you make,
the faster it will harden too- the opposite of conventional
solvent- or water-based fillers, which take hours or even days
to dry when applied thickly.
For the same reason , since there are no solvents in BUILDER'S
BOG™ and it doesn’t dry in the conventional
way, there is no discernible shrinkage,
unlike conventional fillers.
The timber will, off course, still expand and contract around
the BUILDER'S BOG™ as timber
moisture content varies; so good woodworking practices must be
followed to accommodate this movement in the normal way. However
the BUILDER'S BOG™ formula
contains cross-linking agents to attach to the cellulose in the
timber, which gives a more tenacious bond than normal adhesives,
and the subsequent flexibility of the BUILDER'S
BOG™ allows it to remain tightly knitted to the timber
as it undergoes its normal expansion and contraction.
As it sets, BUILDER'S BOG™
passes through a stage like balsa wood, when it can be most easily
trimmed with a blade or surform file. It then continues to harden
and lose its tackiness until it can be rapidly sanded with 36
to 80 grit paper to its rough shape before finish sanding and
painting – All within the hour if
you so wish!!.

FILL™ |

TURBO
TINT'n FILL™ is a new colour-matchable repair
filler. Using the unique characteristics of Turbo BUILDER'S
BOG™, TINT'n FILL™
lets users match their timber colour and grain,
- you control the shade. It then sets rapidly, for a wood-like
repair.
Simply choose the kit containing the right range of colours to
match the finished (oiled or varnished) timber. Tint the filler
using the colour paste, mix in the hardener, and fill the repair.
Then sand and varnish.. You can control the hardening time from
a few minutes to 1/2 an hour by varying the white hardener ratio
between the limits given overleaf.
There are 5 different colour kits to choose from, covering all
commonly used timbers. |

Body Fillers |

Specially
made for the Tradesman and DIY user. The DIY products are easier
but somewhat slower to use than the Tradesman’s products,
by virtue of longer working times (giving
more time to manipulate the final shape) and a more thixotropic
product. Two or more applications may be necessary to eliminate
air pockets and pits due to the more-easily
handled consistency, which is why the Tradesman’s
products are not formulated like this. They are designed for a
practised applicator, where
speed is important.
TURBO Regular Grade (red sticker) has a shorter
gel time (working time) and intermediate thixotropy.
TURBO Cream Xtra has low thixotropy and the same short gel time.
It is the most pinhole-free of our
fillers and sands and Surforms very quickly, but cannot be applied
quite as thickly as the others due to more slump. It is most useful
as a surfacing skim (up to, say,
10 mm. in a pass). |

Hand Cleaner |

TURBO
Green Gel is a traditional type of solvent-based handcleaner,
which works best on grease-based
grime. It is antiseptic and contains
lanoline to keep skin supple. It
rinses off freely in cold water, or can be wiped off with a cloth
where water is not available.
TURBO Orange Scrub is extra-kind
to the hands and recommended for sensitive
skin. The solvent are mostly replaced by an extract of
squeezed oranges and a mild, friable
scrubbing agent. This helps removal
of dried paints, resins and carbon-based
dirt from the hands. It will leave them supple and in good
condition due to the lanoline content and antiseptic properties.
Washes off with water. |

Underseal |

TURBO
Underseal is bitumenised and reinforced
with synthetic fibres. It is very
fast-drying and can be put on by brush
or spray. It stays flexible on bare steel and will not
chip or flake off. It is completely waterproof when applied thickly
as designed,. For spraying, use direct from the can in an underseal
gun at 50 to 60 psi. This will impart an evenly-textured
coating to match OE finishes if required. The coating will not
chip and self-heals any rock or stone
damage.
It can be painted over when dry, which is typically only an hour
or so in warm weather.
If required to thin, use petrol. |
